Ogden Native Earns Full PGA Tour Status for 2025
A strong fall season for Patrick Fishburn
With the help of five top-10 finishes in the 2024 season, Fishburn has earned full status on the PGA Tour for 2025.
Fishburn, an alum of Fremont High School, was a PGA Tour rookie after earning his card for the 2024 season. Full status means players can enter or not enter PGA Tour events as they choose.
“I’m grateful for the support from my family, team, and fans. It’s been an incredible year, and I’m excited for what’s to come in 2025,” said Fishburn in a press release from Goldenwest Credit Union, which sponsors his podcast. “I’m looking forward to building on this momentum and continuing to grow both on and off the course.”
He finished tied for fourth in April at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, which became the first of his five top-10 finishes. A T20 finish at Myrtle Beach and T25 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic set him up for a stellar July.
In July, Fishburn finished 15th at the ISCO Championship, third at the Barracuda Championship and T6 at the 3M Open.
Then the BYU alum opened the fall season with a third-place performance at the Procore Championship on Sept. 15. His November included a T12 mark and, most recently, a tied-for-eighth finish at The RSM Classic on Nov. 24.
He missed seven of eight cuts to start 2024 before the New Orleans event sparked a run where he made the cut in 13 of his final 18 events. Fishburn is 81st in the FedEx fall standings, 104th in the FedEx standings, and has a world golf ranking of 116.
In 2024, Fishburn led the PGA Tour in greens in regulation at 74.2% and is 30th in average drive distance at 308.8 yards.
The podcast, “Fishin’ For Birdies,” gives access to Fishburn once per week in a show hosted by his agent, Rob Despain.
